Nokia N95

Produced by Nokia, the Finnish multinational communication corporation, the N95 is a smartphone and a part Nokia’s Nseries.

The Nokia N95 was first announced to the public in September 2006 but it was not made available until late March of the following year which was after an intensive marketing campaign that used attention-grabbing taglines that said, “It’s what computers have become” and “It’s what cameras have become” and followed up with an equally provocative slogan, “There’s a thing in my pocket!” Just a few months later and still within 2007 and the beginning of 2008, new versions of the Nokia N95 became available:

  • Nokia N95-2 was upgraded from the 160 MB Internal Flash Memory for the N95-1 to 8GB and Internal Dynamic Memory (RAM) from 64 MB for the N95-1 to 128 MB of the other versions
  • Nokia N95-3 includes the 3G support for North America which the previous version did not
  • Nokia N95-4 is the Nokia N95-2 made specifically for the North American market
  • Nokia N95-5
  • Nokia N95-6
  • Weighing 4.23 ounces, the Nokia N95 overall dimensions are 3.9 x 2.09 x 0.83 inches and it uses a two-way slider to either reveal its media playback buttons or its numeric keypad. It runs on Symbian OS v9.2 with an S60 3rd Edition platform with Feature Pack 1 and includes e-mail, web browsing, local Wi-Fi connectivity and text messaging.
  • The Nokia N95 is available in a myriad of colors such as red, white, blue, silver/black, black, copper, plum, sand, grey, brown and orange with its additional features being:
  • SCREEN - QVGA LCD TFT Matrix screen supports 16 million colors at 240×320 pixels. Its diagonal measurement is 2.6 inches for the N95-1, N95-3 and N95-5, and 2.8 inches for the N95-2, N95-4 and the N95-6.
  • CAMERA AND VIDEO RECORDING – Frontal CIF video call and Main rear 5 Megapixel Carl Zeiss optics camera with autofocus, VGA 640 X 480
  • BATTERY – BL-5F 950 mAh for N95-1 and BL-6F 1200 mAh for the other versions which provides up to 240 minutes of talk time and 225 hours of standby time.
