Nokia Corporation introduced the Nokia N81 as part of its Nseries in August of 2007 which supports the N-Gage 2.0 mobile gaming and features dedicated keys for that purpose. The Nokia N81 is a trendy slider-style smartphone with a chic black exterior, it measures 2.0 x 4.0 x 0.7 inches and weighs 4.9 ounces.
The Nokia N81 most outstanding features are the following:
- Memory – 96 MB Internal Dynamic Memory (RAM), 12 MB Internal Flash Memory plus a 2 GB Micro SD memory card slot which is SDHC supported. The Nokia N81 is also available in an 8 GB version in which case it does not have the Micro SD.
- Display screen – 2.4 inches diagonal, resolution 240 x 320 pixels and supports 16 million colors.
- Camera – Its primary camera has 2 megapixels with 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution. Its secondary is a CIF video call camera.
- Battery – Li-Po 1050 mAh (BP-6MT) allowing up to 240 minutes GSm / 180 minutes WCDMA of talk time and up to 17 days standby time.
- Operating system – Symbian OS 9.2, S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1.
- Connectivity – Bluetooth 2.0, USB to Pop-Port 2.0, SMS, MMS, Wi-Fi WLAN IEEE802.11 b/g with UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) support.
- Browser – Nokia Web browser with mini-map.
- Multimedia – E-mail, music payer, FM radio with visual radio support. Video formats MPEG-4, H.264, H.263/3GPP, RealVideo 8/9/10 and audio formats MP3 (VBR), AAC, eAAC+, AAC+, WMA/M4A, WAV.
